We are OPEN from Friday 15th April 2022 for the new glamping season!
As the days get lighter for longer, our thoughts turn to booking that glamping break during the new glamping season which covers Spring, Summer and early Autumn of 2022.
Here at Penbugle Organic Farm, we offer a small, peaceful glamping site next to our working organic farm.
We are set to open on Friday 15th April, which is Good Friday and this year we celebrate our tenth birthday too as a glamping site!
And there’s lots going on in Cornwall this year, too, so you can be as busy or as chilled out as you like.
What Accommodation Does Penbugle Have?
In previous years, we’ve offered a small camping site and a scattering of bell tents for our glamping guests.
However, due to the pandemic, we decided in 2021 to open our spacious Big Chief glamping cabins only and we’re repeating this for 2022, too.
So it means our campsite and bell tents will remain closed for the duration of the 2022 season.
What is There to Do at Penbugle?
Once you arrive here at Penbugle, you park up in our separate (but nearby) car park and use our fun wheelbarrows to transport your luggage. Your holiday has officially begun!
Our tranquil site is surrounded by farmland and our nearest village is Dobwalls.
All you need to do is come prepared and … relax!
Cornwall is blessed with so many attractions, one holiday is never enough.
Use your glamping cabin as your base from which you can explore the Cornish countryside and venues.
As we are a small glamping site, you’ll be able to hear the crackle of your firepit; enjoy the birdsong; maybe get to know your neighbours, who, like you, enjoy the peace and quiet.
You can do as much or as little as you like and simply forget about everyday life.
What Was New Last Year?
Last year we opened our site following the final lockdown and we welcomed guests to not only our spacious, heated cabins but also our brand-new toilets and showers which offer private facilities – a sink, a washbasin, a toilet and a shower – for each cabin.
Guests get to use their own private ‘things’ for the duration of their stay.
This means you also have more space inside the cabins, which are fully heated and insulated, with electric, comfy mattresses, toaster, kettle, fridge and small microwave.
What Is New This Year?
With us just opening our cabins, that means we can have a maximum of eight families staying with us in our glamping meadow.
Penbugle is therefore ideal for a truly escapist glamping break, away from the hustle and bustle.
You will be pleased to know we don’t accept hens or stags, and we don’t accept anyone having a party. There are plenty of glamping sites and camping sites will welcome this type of guest with open arms, just not here at Penbugle glamping!
This year, we are also celebrating our tenth birthday! Yes, it is TEN YEARS since we diversified into glamping. We can’t believe it either!
Our official birthday is in August yet we’ll be marking this milestone throughout the year with a series of blogs, Facebook posts, and anyone joining us this year will be most welcome.
Why Visit Cornwall in 2022?
Last year, 2021, was an exceptionally busy year for staycations in Cornwall and in other locations throughout the UK.
This year, we predict it will be busy again as there are still some restrictions to overseas travel.
Following two very turbulent years, many key events are set to return, fingers crossed!
Our location is perfect for exploring West Cornwall and parts of Devon, Dartmoor and the South Eastern coastal strip.
What Key Events Are Taking Place in 2022?
One thing that Cornwall isn’t short of is events!
It can be hard to keep track of the happenings in spring, summer and early autumn.
We’ve had a look at some of the main events taking place throughout the county and we’ve listed them below.
Always remember to check that each event is taking place … as we know, since 2020, nothing is certain!
Except one thing of course: quality glamping accommodation and a warm welcome here at Penbugle is a total certainty!
